(Asclepias incarnata) Herbaceous perennial herbaceous plant reaching a height of 1-1.2(1.5) m. The stems are branched, oblanceolate. Leaves are subdivided, slightly hairy, elongated or broadly lanceolate with a pointed tip, rich green in color. Flowering begins in mid-July and lasts more than a month (35-45 days). The flowers have a pleasant subtle vanilla fragrance, they are nectar-bearing, attracting bees and butterflies, they are small, red or rose-purple, collected in an umbrella inflorescence, reaching 6 cm in diameter. The seed capsules open to release downy seeds, which flutter in the wind thanks to cotton wool-like filaments.
