(Phaseolus vulgaris) Goldmary bean is a mid-early variety with wide, flat pods. Plants of this variety grow quickly and need support. Plant height can reach 3m. Forms flat pods 20-25 cm long with excellent taste. Tender and slightly sweet, the pods taste best immediately after picking. They can be served as a side dish to main dishes.
Bean seeds are sown directly on the field from May to July. Pole varieties are sown 2 – 3 seeds per hole at a distance of 50 cm from each other. The pods are harvested as they mature from July to September. Beans should be grown in sunny and wind-sheltered areas. The soil needs to be weeded and loosened. You will do best in moderately moist, humus-rich soil.
