(Apium graveolens var. Dulce) Leaf celery is easy to grow, yielding abundant crops in late summer and autumn. You can consume thick, juicy, pale green, beautifully scented petioles and dark green leaf blades of the plant. Its freshly picked leaves can be added to broth, sauces, salads, casseroles and healthy green smoothies.
Always start growing celery from seedling production in early spring. Sow the seeds in a light, permeable, water-absorbing soil such as coco or a mixture of garden soil and peat. Transfer the seedlings to the field in late spring or early summer. Seedlings grown from high quality seeds will grow strong and thrive in every humane garden soil, producing from August to October.
