Leaf mustard “Red Giant” is also called salad mustard. It tastes spicy. The harvest can be collected 5 weeks after sowing. Sow from spring to late summer. Frost resistance to -5C.
The pubescent, pinnately dissected leaves form dense rosettes. Removing young stems stimulates plants to grow more vigorously. Already in March or April you can start cultivating in the garden. The seedlings are then transplanted to the target site in late May or early June. Direct seeding in the field should be done in May, July and August. Sow the seeds 0.5–1 cm deep, in rows 30 x 60 cm apart. Short growing season, lasting 3-4 weeks.
