This Brad Gates variety appeared after five years of selecting the best fruits from hundreds of tomatoes obtained from a successful cross between Brad Gates’ favorite tomato varieties, Pink Berkeley Tie-Dye and Indigo Apple. The fruits turned out to be so dark that some of them turn completely black when ripe. The flesh is sweet, dense, red in color, with an excellent aroma and rich taste. Fruit weight is 100-230 g. Ripe fruits hang on the bushes for a long time without spoiling or losing their taste. It seems that this tomato only gets better after two to three weeks of storage: the aroma intensifies and the flesh remains dense. A mid-season, high-yielding variety. The bushes are about 1.5 m tall.
