(Melampodium paludosum) Sunny islands for semi-shaded corners of gardens and balconies. An annual heat-loving plant from the Asteraceae family. Forms a lush bush 20-25 cm high, stretching up to 30 cm in partial shade. This plant has rich bright green foliage. The flowers are numerous, bright yellow, 4 cm in diameter. Blooms from June to October. The plant is unpretentious, heat-loving, and dies at the slightest frost. Plant in open ground only in early June, choosing a sunny or semi-shaded location. The site should be well-drained and neutral in reaction. The bushes grow vigorously and need to be thinned several times per season.
There is no need to remove faded flowers. Only regular feeding and abundant watering on hot days are necessary. Seeds are sown for seedlings in March-April.
