Crimson Ruby F1 watermelon is an early hybrid of the Crimson Sweet type, bred by Japanese breeders at Sakata. The growing season lasts 65-70 days from planting the seedlings in their permanent place. The plant is strong, sturdy, with long stems and abundant foliage. It is not susceptible to fusarium wilt and anthracnose.
Crimson Ruby F1 watermelons grow round-oval, striped, weighing up to 10-12 kg. The walls are of medium thickness and very dense. The flesh is bright red, with black seeds, no voids or fibers, grainy, crisp, very sweet, and delicious. It accumulates approximately 12-13% sugar. It retains its taste and commercial qualities during long-distance transportation and prolonged storage. The hybrid is intended for early commercial production and for making fresh juices and fruit salads.
