(Hordeum jubatum) Mane barley is a member of the Poaceae family, usually reaches 50 cm in height (sometimes up to 70 cm), has long narrow (3-4 mm wide) rich green leaves and ears with long awns, which are the main decoration of this unpretentious plant. As it matures, the spike turns from light green to straw, and the base of the awns has a purple or reddish tint, turning ashy-silver towards the end of the growing season.
The drooping spikelets of silver color with a reddish tint, playing in the sunlight, create a mysteriously mesmerizing picture worthy of an artist’s brush.
The plant is a juvenile (under favorable conditions can live in the garden for about 3-4 years), but with each year barley mane will lose decorativeness and form a stunted mound. In the middle zone it is grown as an annual plant, but in warm winters it successfully overwinters and develops lushly by the beginning of the next summer.

Number of seeds in one package: 0.5g.

Manufacturer: “Seklos”.
