(Apium graveolens) Albin celery is a mid-season (120-170 days), high-yielding variety of root celery with large (600-900 g) rounded fruits, distinguished by its snow-white flesh without voids, which does not darken during processing. The variety is distinguished by its good shelf life, aroma, and versatility (fresh, dried, frozen). It can be stored for up to 6 months in a cool place. Seedlings are sown at the end of February – beginning of March. Seedlings are planted in open ground in mid-late May at the age of 60–80 days. Requires regular watering, weeding, and loosening of row spacing. Organic fertilizers are applied in the fall. Harvest from late September until the onset of sustained frosts. The variety is valued for its spicy taste, disease resistance, and good transportability.
