(Centaurea cyanus) Popular flower. A plant with a straight branched stem up to 80-90 cm high. The flowers are collected in medium-sized inflorescences-baskets. Color red. Blooms from June to September. Used to decorate flower beds, flowering lawns and for cutting. The plant is light-loving, cold-resistant. Soil prefers loose, nutritious, neutral. Propagated by sowing seeds in April-May in open ground. The sowing depth is 0.3-0.5 cm. At a soil temperature of +20°C, seedlings appear in 14-20 days. Seedlings are thinned out, maintaining a distance between plants of 15-20 cm.
