Indian datura is a bright, memorable representative of the Solanaceae family with fragrant, voluminous flowers. This strong, compact plant develops quickly and branches profusely. It does not overwinter in open ground in the middle latitudes and is grown as an annual. In greenhouses, it is used as a perennial in pot culture. In outdoor flower beds, the bushes reach a height of about 40-50 cm. Flowering can begin as early as 3-4 weeks after germination. The flowers are double, funnel-shaped, 6-8 cm, and face upward. The bush retains its decorative appearance until the end of the warm season, forming bizarre fruits. The plant is poisonous, contains datura, do not use for food! Plant height depends on growing conditions. Datura is unpretentious in care, heat- and light-loving. Prefers loose, fertile soils. For pot cultivation, the volume of containers should be at least 3-5 liters per plant. Seedlings appear in 2-3 weeks.
