Height 30-50 cm. Catmint Marvelette Blue is a variety of catmint (Calamintha nepeta), a perennial aromatic plant with small purple-blue flowers that form lush “clouds.” It is valued for its decorative qualities, pleasant aroma, and unpretentiousness, suitable for sunny locations and long flowering from summer to autumn, often called “mountain mint.”
The plant grows best in a well-lit area or in light shade. It prefers light, loose, nutritious soil and moderate watering. Propagate by sowing seeds in March. At a soil temperature of +20-30°C, seedlings appear in 30 days. Seedlings develop very slowly. Seedlings are pricked out in the 2-true-leaf stage. Seedlings are planted in open ground when they reach a height of 10-12 cm and have at least 3 pairs of leaves.
