(Dracocephalum moldavicum) An annual herbaceous plant of the Lamiaceae family. Sowing in mid-May to early June. Seeds germinate at a temperature of +5+7°C. Seedlings and adult plants can withstand prolonged cold spells. In the initial growth period, dragonhead has increased moisture requirements. Seedlings are planted after 30-35 days according to a 30×50 cm pattern. The plant blooms in July-August and bears fruit in August-September.
Dragonhead is light-loving and undemanding in terms of soil and heat. The stem is erect, tetrahedral, branched, 50-70 cm high. The flowers are pale purple. The leaves and the plant itself have a pronounced lemon aroma and can be used as a substitute for lemon balm and catnip in dishes and drinks.
