Melen F1 is an early-maturing smooth-skinned cucumber hybrid from the Dutch breeding company Enza Zaden, which is valued for its high yield, resistance to stressful conditions, and excellent taste. The plant is indeterminate, medium-branched, and predominantly female in flowering type. It is strong, with balanced growth and a powerful root system, which provides excellent covering ability. The hybrid is early maturing, with a period from germination to the beginning of fruiting of about 40-45 days. The fruits are cylindrical, smooth, dark green in color, without thickening. Each cucumber is usually 16-19 cm long and weighs 180-230 g. They are resistant to blossom end rot and tolerate transportation well. Melen F1 is suitable for growing in glass and plastic greenhouses. It shows excellent results even under stressful conditions and tolerates high temperatures well.
