(Artimisia dracunculus) Tarragon is a perennial plant that grows up to 100 cm tall. Tarragon is a perennial herbaceous plant with straight stems and long narrow leaves. Small flowers are gathered in a narrow panicle that blooms in the second half of summer. Young shoots are used in cooking as a seasoning. Sow seeds for seedlings in boxes in early March (sprouts appear in 14-20 days), then transplant to a nursery bed in a 5×5 cm pattern. After 60 days, plant the seedlings in their permanent location in a 60×30 cm pattern. It winters well in open ground and is not demanding on soil (but does not tolerate waterlogged and acidic soils). It can grow in one place for 8-10 years.
