Prune Noire tomato is an old variety with unusual dark burgundy, almost black, plum-shaped fruits, known for its sweet, juicy taste with a slight sourness, high yield, and long fruiting period. It requires staking due to its height and is suitable for fresh consumption and canning. Small (25-80 g), elongated, plum-shaped fruits, dark red or reddish-brown with green shoulders, turning dark burgundy when ripe. Sweet, juicy, with a pleasant sourness and a slight smoky aftertaste. Indeterminate (tall), requires support (ties or cages), reaches 1.6 m in height. High yield, clusters of 6-8 fruits. Mid-late, 80-85 days. Excellent for salads, appetizers, canning, and sauces.
