(Setaria macrostachya) Bristegrass (Setaria) is an ornamental cereal plant. The inflorescences are gracefully curved down, dense and very fluffy, reminiscent of a fox’s tail. The stems are tall, strong, with large narrow leaves. Ear begins in the middle of summer. Prefers sunny areas, undemanding to the soil. Differs in unpretentiousness, is steady against a drought, does not transfer frosts. It is used in mixborders, for decorating fences and outbuildings, as well as in floristry for creating winter bouquets and compositions with other cereals. Plant height 80-100 cm.
