(Deschampsia cespitosa) Hairgrass tuffed ‘Goldschleier’ resembles its namesake -Goldschleier means gold veil in German; it is a great plant to look through at other plants and the rest of the garden. It has a long season of interest. Golden flower spikes appear above dark foliage from June to August with the seed heads remaining attractive into winter. It appears to change colour depending on the light – shimmering like a gold veil! The flower heads also make an attractive addition to cut-flower arrangements.
